Expert Travel Specialists India

Our Story

Excavations of the Indus Civilization sites over the years have unearthed delicate jewelry, elegant carvings and delightful vignettes of daily life including children’s toys and musical instruments, giving a small but intriguing snapshot into the life of those bygone days. We want to share our experience in travel with our valued customers and give them a taste, a hint, of this amazing diversity of life that has sprung from those early civilized societies. The ancient Indus Valley Civilization, its rich cultural heritage and the legacy it has left for our lives today, is the inspiration behind Indus Discoveries, a Destination Management Company in India, which was founded in June 2000 in New Delhi.

Indus Discoveries offers tailor-made holidays and destination management services in India to overseas tour operators, discerning independent travelers, and to educational and cultural societies, and institutions wishing to visit India.

Our team, with a combined experience of more than 95 years, specialises in offering bespoke holidays to valued tour operator partners and independent or group travellers. Our local knowledge allows us to craft a diverse range of unique itineraries, while our extensive and loyal network of partners allows us to create authentic, engaging, and rich travel experiences for our guests.

Indus Discoveries is recognized by the Department of Tourism, Government of India. We are members of IATO (Indian Association of Tour Operators) and the NTA (National Tour Association, USA), and are registered with Jammu & Kashmir Tourism.

Our Inspiration

INSPIRED BY INDIA.

From the glistening snow peaks of the majestic Himalayas, to the sensual sun kissed coastline of Kerala, and the undulating dunes of the Great Indian Desert in the west, to the pristine and enigmatic eastern landscapes, India cocoons all the landscapes of the world.

India is home to more than a billion souls. It is a veritable melting pot of races, cultures and religions, shaped by centuries of civilisations, migration, and foreign rule. You will find Buddhist monks in serene silence at an ancient monastery nestled on a Himalayan mountain in the lunar landscape of Ladakh; Hindu priests chanting hymns and lighting oil lamps on the stepped banks of the holy River Ganges in Varanasi; the Victorian churches in Goa; the unmistakable dome of Mughal architecture.

India is a land of soul-stirring experiences. Bathe in the pink hue exuded by the Taj Mahal when caressed by the rising sun. Trek amidst rhododendron and pine trees on a serene trail in Himachal Pradesh. Haggle with village salesmen for intricate handicrafts and rich textiles in the cacophonic bazaars of Jaipur. Gaze at the starlit sky in the desert dunes at a bonfire camp in Jaisalmer. Glide on the Keralan backwaters in your houseboat while savouring some fresh coconut water. Savour some delectable Mughlai cuisine, or a cup of steaming Indian chai.

India is our inspiration and our passion. We are here to help you embrace India’s soul and thus tap into your own.

Our Brand Symbol

Our brand symbol signifies elements of India such as peepal leaves, the Taj Mahal, a silhouette of the Buddha, peacock feathers, camels and elephants, lotuses, fish, and motifs extracted from Mughal and Rajput architecture.

The symbol is arranged in the form of a tomb top, which clearly signifies Indian Mughal architectural forms.
