Indus Discoveries organizes specialised tours across niche themes for experts, academic and professional institutions, alumni, societies and enthusiasts. These journeys are designed and delivered in partnership with educational bodies, professional societies and independent experts. The themes range from earth sciences, textiles, and arts and crafts, to museum tours, alumni travel, historical tours, painting holidays, nature, photography and many more.
Through our Earth Sciences tours, you will traverse the spectacular and ever changing geography, geology and ecology of the Himalayan mountain range. The unique geology and topography of the Himalayas, created by the ongoing collision of the Indian subcontinent and Eurasia, make it one of the most exciting places in the world for geologists. Our textiles tour in Gujarat enables you to study the hand-loom and textile history of this region. It also provides insight into the fantastic world of lovely local communities that are linked with the textiles and their cultural heritage. You can embark on a painting holiday to create paradisaical landscapes on your canvas or experience the heritage and culture of India through its museums and architecture.
We are honoured to partner with the V&A Museum London on their Fabric of India exhibition. We have also partnered with Kohima Museum York, Stourbridge College, the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge on special interest tours.
