Spring in Kashmir is a time of renewal, when the land awakens from its winter slumber. The warm weather brings out the blooming flowers and almond blossom, and the local people celebrate with festivals and celebrations.
The lakes and rivers are full of water from melting snow, making them ideal for boating or fishing. The mountains are covered in fresh green grasses, which provide grazing areas for sheep and cows. Cherry blossoms cover the hillsides in pink clusters that give off their own sweet scent as they sway in the wind.
