itinerary

Join us on this spectacular tour and marvel at the 1000 years old Band Deva Temple built in the middle of a crater.

Kota situated in Rajasthan state in India is dominated by the Aravalli Delhi Fold Belt composed of Proterozoic to Infra-Cambrian metasediments with syn-orogenic granites. These are underlain by Archaean banded gneisses and overlain by stromatolite-bearing Infra-Cambrian to Cambrian sediments. Glacial boulder beds are also found within these Infra-Cambrian beds. They are overlain by younger Phanerozoic strata sparsely distributed in the region. Late Cretaceous volcanic of the Deccan Traps are present in the southeast. In terms of water resources, it is in the younger Phanerozoic sedimentary strata that the aquifers are to be found.
