We bring you this tour that will take you across the villages and cities of the desert state of Rajasthan. Embark on a journey of hilltop forts, dunes, camels, palaces, lakes, frescoed mansions, and villages, to capture the essence of the heart of Rajasthan. Experience and enjoy the beauty of these places as monsoon pours in.

Day 1. International Departure

Departure from your home country for Delhi.

Day 2. Delhi – international arrival

Arrival Delhi and then on assisted transfer to The Imperial located at the heart of New Delhi. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3. To Jaipur

Morning drive to Jaipur (approximately 04hrs driving time). Check-in at Khas Bagh set in the outskirts of Jaipur and see farms and hill slopes resonate with new life.

Later you can opt to engage yourself in a cooking demonstration that shows participants quick, easy ways to prepare Ornish-friendly foods; and learn dishes that are rooted in India’s age-old vegetarian culinary traditions yet adapted to today’s kitchen and lifestyle. Entrees are wholesome, healthy and fresh.

Also, while in Jaipur, pamper your taste buds with the ‘must try’ Ghevar. Indulge your sweet tooth into its light and airy honeycomb-like structure. Monsoons keep it moist! And hence traditional prepared during the rainy days only!

Day 4. Jaipur

Rise early to attend Yoga classes at Khas Bagh’s peaceful and tranquil environs. Reinvigorate with asanas that help you energize and detox and find a moment of calm and stillness.

For other activities of the day – choose your options from the nearby Victory fort of Jaigarh, which overlooks the 10th century Amber Fort, Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing, visit to nearby villages to see traditional artisans at work, visit Albert hall – the state museum of Rajasthan.

Day 5. To Shahpura Bagh

Move on to the heart of the state, strategically located between Jaipur and Udaipur is Shahpura Bagh set in the middle of a tree-bound estate, ecstatic in the rains even as the two lakes bordering the estate greedily await their fill. (approximately 04hrs driving time).

Day 6. Shahpura Bagh

A trip into Shahpura reveals the town’s rich multi-cultural vibrancy and its fascinating arts and crafts tradition. Sit with the Joshis and watch a traditional Phad, a painting depicting mythology and history, come to life.

Explore the many goods on sale in the marketplace. Get a leather mojari, or local footwear, made to your size. Understand the local people’s way of life, mingle with artisans and farmers and innocent children…

Day 7. To Chhatra Sagar

Morning drive approximately 04 & ½ hrs to reach Chhatra Sagar, a place blessed by the monsoons every year. This is a deluxe luxury camp set on a picturesque reservoir is a rainwater harvesting site and a tranquil haven for birds and wildlife.

Day 8. Chhatra Sagar

Morning enjoy a visit to a nearby farm & village in a Jeep.

Day 9. To Jodhpur

Morning drive to Jodhpur (approximately 02 & ½ hrs driving time). Within the serpentine lanes of the walled city is Raas Haveli. A design hotel built to give you some of the best views of the Mehrangarh Fort. Monsoons are the perfect time to watch the Mehrangarh Fort’s changing moods – now a deep brooding brown under an overcast sky or then a sparkling hue of red after a superb drench. That you can pamper yourself at the Ila Spa is another matter ! The clean-up of the stepwell of the square is another reason to be here and see ancient conservation science in action.

Day 10. Jodhpur

Morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Jodhpur – visit the 15th C. Meherangarh Fort soaring above the city, with its delightful insight into the life and times of the ruling family. Also, visit the quiet Jaswant Thada – a marble memorial built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II and Umaid Bhawan Museum.

Day 11. To Delwara near Udaipur

Making your way towards Udaipur, stop at Ranakpur to see beautifully sculptured Jain temples that were constructed in 15th century. South from Udaipur is Raas Devigarh another jewel, a superbly designed luxury fort hotel which allows you the luxury of watching the monsoons turn the rolling Aravallis around green and add sparkle to the country side (approximately 4 hrs driving time).

Day 12. Delwara

Start the day with a darshan to Eklingji and NagdaTemples; continuing with an excursion to Udaipur City Palace and Museum with its fascinating insight into the lives of the Maharajas. Later stroll in the delightful Garden of the Maids of Honour Museum, Sahelion-ki-Bari and the Jagdish temple.

Day 13. To Bhainsrorgarh

Drive on to the Bhainsrorgarh Fort, a heritage boutique hotel perched on cliff overlooking the Chambal River. (approximately 5 hrs driving time). On the way lies Chittorgarh, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest fortresses in India. A visit will be arranged if interested.

Day 14. Bhainsrorgarh

Spend the day relaxing. Catch up with the monsoons here and watch rain clouds literally ride on the Chambal caressing past you as you lounge in the palace verandah.

Day 15. To Ramathra

Closer to the jungles of Ranthambhore you will be awe-struck at the sheer contrast between what Ramathra Fort looks like in July and August, the landscape bedecked in monsoon finery and its stark winter scape.

Take a train from Kota (2 hours drive) to Gangapur City, wherefrom Ramathra is an hour away.

Day 16. Ramathra

Ramathra offers various experiences to its guests. Take a walk in the lap of nature or a nearby village; climb old forts, enjoy boating in the nearby lake, or pick a book from the library!

Day 17. To Delhi

Take another train ride from Gangapur City to Delhi. Once in Delhi, transfer to a airport hotel for wash and change.

Day 18. On the final day

Departure for your home country.
