On this holiday, explore the fascinating jungles of Madhya Pradesh in central India. Tiger reserves in India are a perfect example of nature’s bounty, complemented by mesmerizing scenic beauty and rich bio diversity. The Pench and Kanha National Parks are well known as the inspiration behind Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book.

Day 1. To Delhi

Departure from your home country to Delhi.

Day 2. Delhi – Bandhavgarh

Arrival Delhi and then on enjoy your morning breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Delhi Airport to board your flight to Jabalpur. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and assisted to your resort in Bandhavgarh National Park. This sprawling park has 30 species of mammals and about 240 species of birds. Later in the day, hop on for a jeep safari, traversing the rugged and wild landscapes of the National Park.

Day 3. Bandhavgarh National Park

In the morning and afternoon, jungle jeep safaris acquaint you with the wilderness. This park was a former hunting reserve of the Maharaja of Rewa, and today is a sanctuary to more than 40 tigers.

Day 4. Bandhavgarh

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. Bandhavgarh is considered to be one of the finest parks for tiger sightings. The broken hilly terrain, grassy swamps and forested valleys provide ideal concealment for this predator.

Day 5. To Kanha National Park

After an early breakfast, drive to Kanha National Park – a dedicated Tiger reserve. Kanha and the nearby forests were the inspiration for Rudyard Kipling’s delightful and hugely popular Jungle Book. Imagine the mighty Sher Khan prowling close by as you watch and wait with bated breath. Kanha is an outstanding National Park with about 30 species of mammals and 225 species of birds. Afternoon game drive. Three nights at Tuli Tiger Resort.

Day 6. Kanha

Morning and afternoon game drives. The diversity and vegetation of the habitat provide the perfect opportunity to spot various animals – including the Gaur (Indian bison) and four-horned Antelope, besides tigers.

Day 7. Kanha

Another day of morning and afternoon game safaris to spot sloth bear, swamp deer, bison and the elusive leopard. The scenes from Kipling’s books come alive, as you plod deep into the jungle and soak in the experience created by the enthralling ambiance.

Day 8. To Pench National Park

Morning drive to Pench National Park to seek out the majestic tiger. Other animals include leopard, porcupine, hyena and barking deer. There are over 210 species of birds – including peafowl, magpie robin and crimson breasted barbet. Afternoon game drive.Two nights at Pench Jungle Camp.

Day 9. Pench

Morning and afternoon game drives. Pench lies at the foot of the Satpura range with undulating terrain – small hills, open grass meadows and dense forests. Other wildlife found in the park includes sloth bear, gaur, nilgai, wild dog, chausingha, jackals, rhesus macaque and flying squirrels.

Day 10. To Satpura National Park

After an early breakfast, drive to Satpura National Park. Evening boat safari on River Denwa. Three nights at Denwa Backwater Escape.

Day 11. Satpura

Morning and afternoon game drives either perched high on an elephant or on a jeep. Satpura is one of the least visited of India’s Parks, yet offers some of the best safari experiences – including kayaking and walking. The landscape is rugged with narrow gorges, deep ravines, dense forests and home to a vast number of wildlife including the tiger, leopard, bison and wild dog.

Day 12. Satpura

Another day with morning and afternoon game drives. For Bird lovers, November to March is an ideal time, as one can spot a plethora of migratory birds visiting the Tawa reservoir. Look out for sloth, wild boar, nilgai and sambar.

Day 13. To Delhi

Transfer from Satpura National Park to Bhopal Airport to board your flight to Delhi.

Day 14. On the final day

Departure for your home country.
